With the exception of an early text message that simply stated "Day 2", I was

very silent about it the rest of the day which I'm sure increased more curiosity as time ticked by. She even asked Will yesterday if she was going to be getting flowers every day for 40 days. Well, not wanting a botanical garden, that was never a consideration. As she came in the door I approached her with my hands behind my back. After a big smile she couldn't help but ask with a seldom shyness, "Whatcha hiding behind your back?" After wrapping both hands arould her back with a hug I was wondering if she thought that is what Day 2 consisted of.
We left the house for a meeting with our realtor, who is also the owner of Roanoke Railhouse Brewery, I went with the theme of 2 in mind. (Anyone interested in buying a house by the way, let us know). When we arrived at 419 Restaurant we met with Steve and ordered one of his Track 1 beers (http://www.roanokerailhouse.com/) and two orders of spring rolls. After the meeting we headed downtown for my original plan for Day 2 of her celebration.
As we drove into the downtown Market Square I got the excited comment "I know
where we are going. We are going to 202 because it is Day 2!!!" When we arrived we were graciously seated and meet our wonderful waitress, Stephanie. We ordered a cocktail and looked over a very simple but elegant menu, which are the same qualities in the woman that I married. She decided on a Caesar salad and the Papardelle Bolognese which is a pasta with Bolognese sauce and grana padano cheese. I decided on a Malaysian Hot Pot that included scallops, shrimp, and pork with coconut rice. Both dishes were amazing and VERY filling. I also found it very cool that there were flat screen TV's on the walls which was a closed circuit video of the chef's in the kitchen preparing you meals. Stephanie took a very nice picture as we informed her of the occasion and then chose our dessert for us.
She made the wonderful selection of the Virtual 'Whopper' and prepared especially for the beautiful woman seated to my right and the Day 2 celebration. Stephanie offered the menus for us to take home and hunted down Executive Chef Chad Scott so he could sign them for us to remember the occasion and the fabulous food he prepared. As we arrived home from a wonderful dinner we decided to continue the 2 theme and take our 2 furry babies (Maddy and Shelby) for a walk, not only because we were both stuffed, but to put a wonderful end to an elegant evening!
