Just so all the men out there can be envious of me and the woman that I married, she loves sports just as much if not more than I do. I came the ultimate realization of this when she called me at the beginning of last baseball season and let me know that she ordered the MLB package so we can watch sporting events and mainly baseball on all three TV's that we have in our living room. There are plenty of times that I fall in love with her all over again but this one was one that will always be in my memory. It is her love of sports and mainly the University of North Carolina basketball that inspired Day 8.We have a tradition in our house that whenever one of our teams wins a title or championship,
we frame and hang the Sports Illustrated cover along the wall downstairs.
I have held off with the UNC title for a while and I thought that since we had seen them play 8 different games this year then Day 8 would be the appropriate time for her to
raise her framed cover to its place on the living room wall (yes, the same one that the Syracuse jerseys are hanging). She was very surprised by this and then stated, "I was wondering why this hasn't been put up there yet?" She also was surprised because I had taken that particular issue before she had even seen it so it was brand new to her.

The night continued with the 80th Annual MLB All-Star Game. In honor of my beautiful wife's love for baseball I decided that
I will fix her some ballpark food. She had returned from a business after hours with her friend Beth and both were starving as there was not any food there. The evening started with some nachos with chili, cheese, and jalapenos. It took no time for them to disappear between the three of us. After that we grilled out some Gwaltney Big 8 hot dogs. I originally wanted Ball Park Franks but in honor of the day I went with the Big 8's!! After a chili dog or two we really got in the baseball swing with some peanuts and cracker jacks while we enjoyed a pleasant evening of baseball.
